And now, Fire-Ed Up is offering an exciting opportunity to be part of the $16 million XPRIZE competition, driving the development of bushfire detection and rapid response technologies.
Fire-Ed Up, funded by the NSW Office of the Chief Scientist and Engineer, is developed from the award-winning program of Central Coast Council. It is delivered by the Hunter Innovation and Science Hub and managed by Sleap Business Consultants. The program offers comprehensive cross-curricular learning experiences for students at different stages.
Global not-for-profit organisation XPRIZE has launched a $16 million innovation competition to drive the development of bushfire detection and rapid response technologies. This competition is open to all problem-solvers, from students and space enthusiasts to start-ups and established businesses. It consists of two tracks: the Autonomous Wildfire Response track and the Space-Based Wildfire Detection and Intelligence track.
Fire-Ed Up is not only empowering students with knowledge and skills to address bushfires but also offering them a chance to be part of the prestigious XPRIZE competition. Students in the Stage 5 program will develop solutions to Bushfire based problems. Students can entry their ideas into the competition to be eligible for $16M in prizes.
